Pune : MIM Lok Sabha applicant Anis Sundke has declared that a memorial to Tipu Sultan might be built-in Pune.
Reacting to this, BJP town read more Unit President Dheeraj Ghate said, “We will not allow the memorial being created on Pune’s land underneath any conditions. We'll lodge a law enforcement criticism On this regard.”

Ghate stated, “The BJP strongly opposes the proposed memorial to Tipu Sultan. He tortured the Hindus. Sundke is trying to travel a wedge among two communities by raising the memorial challenge in the course of the elections. a number of people attempted to rejoice the start anniversary of Tipu Sultan. The BJP vehemently opposed it. We won’t enable this to occur at any Price tag.”
Ghate reported, “Pune is known as a cultural centre. numerous historic personalities have been linked to it. Tipu Sultan wasn't an incredible chief. He killed 1000s of Hindu Males and ladies. Hindutva outfits won't ever enable the memorial to come up. We will strategy the police. it can be an attempt to polarise votes. The BJP strongly condemns this.”
